Since The Villages Pre-School first opened, I had no clue how many children, families, and teachers would have participated. I am really excited about this opportunity to grow our business from our Bingley locations to Eldwick, East Morton, and Burley in Wharfedale! We had just turned ten. I love working with young children because every day is different and I get to watch them grow, change, pick up new skills, interact with others, and build confidence. Even now, ten years later, I still enjoy discovering new techniques (like In The Moment Planning), putting them into practise (like our brand-new online tracking tool, EY Log), and evaluating and improving practise through practitioner training (like early phonics, maths ideas, superhero ideas, and the list goes on!). I continue to be involved with government programmes and ensure that safeguarding is a major priority by sitting on the Bradford Councils project board for the additional 30 hours that I am entitled to. The Villages Pre-school is my passion, and I put in a lot of effort to regularly assess our practises to make sure we're giving our students and families the best early childhood education we can. If you would like further information about anything, including healthy eating, support for low-income families, or just a friendly chat, my door (or mobile phone!) is always open.
