The DfE and Ofsted have recognised Fernwood, an outstanding 11–16 multi-cultural school, for its outstanding care and discipline in addition to its strong academic standards. In addition to being a specialist technology college in 2005 and a specialist school in mathematics and science in 2010, the institution received Leading Edge recognition for exemplary practise in 2004. Additionally, we are a recognised centre of excellence for sport, expressive arts, and languages. Fernwood secures a number of spots each year for pupils to enrol in a variety of courses, including A levels and the International Baccalaureate, through a direct connection with Bilborough College. According to recent data, a significant portion of our students enrol in higher education programmes, with many of them receiving admission to prestigious colleges like Oxford and Cambridge. The school provides equally effective occupational pathways to higher learning. Each youngster in our society is special and respected for their contributions to our culture.
