In the 2011 Prevent Strategy, the government outlined its concept of British Values, defining them as democracy, rule of law, individual liberty, respect for one another, and tolerance of people of diverse religions and views.
We at Varna believe that these values complement our own core principles and are continuously upheld and respected by everyone associated with our school.
The following examples are not an exhaustive list but rather a representation of some of the ways we are trying to instil British values at Varna Community Primary School.
Our assembly programme and extracurricular instruction are two important ways that we help our students develop their core beliefs, particularly British Values.
The value of democracy is regularly emphasised at Varna Community Primary School.
Our kids have a solid awareness of the democratic process because to school council elections, the public nature of their work, lessons across the curriculum, and assemblies.
Our "School Rules" are well-publicized and discussed in every class at our school.
Children are actively encouraged to make independent decisions at Varna Community Primary School because they know they are in a protected, secure, and encouraging atmosphere.
As a school, we establish clear guidelines so that kids may make decisions securely, beginning in our Foundation Stage, by offering a secure setting and a stimulating curriculum.
Our school's ethos is built around respect, which is exemplified by both staff and students.
