The six classes at Nascot Wood Infant School, which first opened its doors in 1976, each hold 180 students (two in each of Reception, Year 1 and Year 2). The setting is pleasant and well-equipped, and the classrooms are big. This offers spacious rooms for group activities as well as quiet spaces for focused work. We also enjoy a delightful setting with access to a nature reserve, sports field, and a heated outdoor swimming pool, all of which we share with Nascot Wood Junior School. Our nursery unit, which has been operating since April 1997, can house 60 kids—30 in each of the two daily sessions. A team of committed teachers and other staff members work hard and are friendly at Nascot Wood Infant and Nursery School. Our aim is to create a safe and joyful atmosphere where all of our kids can receive a well-rounded education. We recognise that every child is different and uniquely special, and yet also part of a communityso while nurturing the individual talents and interests of each child, we also support their ability to develop friendships, positive attitudes and self-discipline, regardless of race, gender or religion. Our aim is to raise confident, inquisitive kids who enjoy and benefit from their educational experiences. We hold everyone to a high standard and provide them individually monitored goals that we believe will most effectively balance challenge and reward.
