Since April 2018, I have served as Principal at Lanchester CFS, and I am happy to welcome you to our website. We hope that this encounter with the school will be the first of many with you. We are a brand-new primary school servicing Central/West Watford, a flourishing neighbourhood. The school was established in 2014 and continues to expand. We are housed in a stunning and distinctive listed structure that is a well-known landmark in the heart of the town. We are very close to many interesting and useful local features and amenities, such as the Watford Central Library, Cassiobury Park, West Herts College and the Watford Central Sports Centre, run by Everyone Active. We are fortunate to be able to take advantage of all of these chances to improve our kids' academic progress. The staff at Lanchester and I share a common commitment and passion for the life chances of our children. We work hard to make sure that all children succeed and thrive - and, most importantly, that they develop a love for learning. The children are unquestionably the gems in our crown and a joy to work with. We are supported by an active PTA and Governing Body (with several parent members) and the Trust itself is tremendously supportive. This is a beautiful school that is always developing and getting better. All pupils in this area of Watford should choose to attend one of our schools. I'm eager to introduce myself to you and show you around.
