From the Worksop Priory Church of England Primary Academy
In September 2011, I began serving as the head teacher of Worksop Priory Church of England Aided Primary Academy. Our Academy carries on a rich tradition of education in this region that has been supported by the Church for more than four centuries. Priory Academy and the Priory Church have had a close relationship ever since it was founded. I do believe we are quite lucky to have a Governing Body that is so devoted, helpful, and hardworking, especially considering how many of them are Priory Church congregants. At Priory, we work to make sure every child enjoys their education and realises their full potential. In order to achieve this, staff always has high expectations for students, and all facets of the Every Child Matters Agenda are thoroughly incorporated into the curriculum planning at the Academy. The curriculum offers various improved learning opportunities, such as hands-on activities, field trips, and visitors, to deepen the students' understanding and increase their knowledge. The facility has undergone a number of extensions and modifications throughout the years, all of which are intended to improve the teaching and learning environment for our students. I consider myself extremely fortunate to be a member of the Priory community and look forward to carrying on my work with a committed staff, encouraging governors, and helpful parents, but most importantly with our beautiful students.
