I'm George Huthart, and I've been Norbridge Academy's headteacher for 11 years.
David Laws, MP, thanked us for being among the top 250 schools in the nation for the advancement of our students from Key Stage One to the end of Key Stage 2.
This is something we are extremely proud of, and we work hard to make sure it shows in all we do. All we want of our school community is that they "Be The Best You Can Be."
We are quite pleased of the fact that in December 2014, our school was ranked among the top 200 schools for academic accomplishment.
We received recognition for the advancements our Pupil Premium students achieve in our school in the spring of 2015.
We won the Pupil Premium Awards for the East Midlands for a second time in the spring of 2016.
Children at Norbridge Academy are given the chance to study a variety of courses, including literacy, numeracy, and ICT.
Foundational courses like history and geography are taught in a creative curriculum built around themes and featuring wado ryu karate and music lessons.
Children manage The Sidings Cafe, which serves the neighbourhood.
Children are encouraged to grow in all aspects of the curriculum and school life by the highly motivated faculty and staff at Norbridge Academy, which offers a stimulating and appealing learning environment.

In the past, lots of staff and parents have complained about the leadership at this school. The head tries to deliberately cause conflict over issues with hard working staff, when it is not necessary, instead of trying to support them.
