This website seeks to provide current information for parents, students, and the larger community while also giving you a sense of the school.
I am adamant that every child is capable of extraordinary things, and it is our responsibility to support this.
At Whitegate End, we think that every child can succeed and that there are no upper limits to it.
We encourage our students to be fearless when studying and never scared to try new things. They should be motivated and eager learners.
The three Rs—responsibility, resilience, and respect—are a set of tools that, in my opinion, when employed correctly, help our students learn more successfully.
The effectiveness of the school is largely dependent on the interactions between the teachers, students, and parents.
Together, we can make sure that kids enjoy their time at Whitegate End, make good progress, and leave us as mature, responsible, well-educated kids who are prepared to contribute positively to society.
I have very high expectations for the kids' behaviour and academic performance.
We are required to follow the National Curriculum, just like all English schools. The national curriculum in England's primary curriculum is outlined at https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/; it outlines the subjects and content we are required to teach.
To give every student the chance to learn, enjoy themselves, and succeed is the main goal of all of our teaching and learning.
We provide a variety of extracurricular activities that go above and above the statutory obligations, including clubs and possibilities after school.
We value and have incorporated the development of practical life skills like first aid and cooking into our own curriculum.
The Oldham Pledge, which supports opportunities for kids to develop important character characteristics and helps every child be school ready, life ready, and career ready, is implemented in addition to the core skills we want to teach our kids.
