In the tranquil village of Thurlstone, in the lovely foothills of the Pennines, we are a small, welcoming, rural primary school. Sheffield, Wakefield, Barnsley, and Holmfirth are all within a half-hour drive of us, as are "Summerwine" country and Wakefield. Six mixed-age classes totaling 148 students are present. The entire school community at Thurlstone Primary School is dedicated to the growth of the child. We offer a motivating, secure setting and a top-notch education that promotes self-assurance, independence, and camaraderie. Our innovative curriculum aspires to create responsible, compassionate, and enterprising people with a definite place in society. We encourage learning enjoyment by recognising success and zeal. In November 2015, Ofsted gave us a rating of "Outstanding" in every category.
