From the Thomson House School
A very special environment, Thomson House School is populated by energetic kids, dedicated teachers, and helpful parents. Our school is named after Peter Thomson, a man passionate about education who taught in many of the local independent schools (St Paul's, Emanuel and Harrodian) and who had a reputation for inspiring young people to live life to the full. At Thomson House, we work hard to get our students ready for the 21st century by developing their self-assurance, adaptability, verbal skills, intellectual curiosity, social responsibility, and concern for the environment. At Thomson House School, we have the highest standards and strive for excellence in everything we do. There is no room for mediocrity here. We provide students with a stimulating and creative curriculum that includes a variety of fun learning activities. Our school values of curiosity, kindness and courage weave through all areas of school life our very high expectations are present in learning, behaviour, appearance and academic rigour. We teach our kids to be polite, respectful, and to have compassion for those who are less fortunate than themselves. Through performance opportunities, competitive sports, and the Richmond Award Scheme, we increase self-esteem. Every youngster should reach their full potential, is our goal. Above all, we want the kids to enjoy and laugh while learning, and we want them to be driven and enthusiastic about it. We hope that you will get a taste of Thomson House from our website. However, if you really want to find out about the school, please do come and participate in one of our monthly tours - the children are willing tour guides and will give you a greater impression of life at Thomson House School than the website ever will!.
