St Marys is an 11–19 coed, comprehensive school with academy status that accepts 240 students for every new class of Year 7 students. Our secondary school is one of four Christian schools in Hertfordshire that are all under the jurisdiction of the Diocese of St. Albans. The school is highly known in the neighbourhood for its excellent inclusion programme and high-quality services. In accordance with Christian values, St. Mary's CE High School is dedicated to offering a secure and nurturing learning environment. According to SIAMS Church School Inspectors and Ofsted's Jan. 2015 ratings, we are a good school (May 2015). No matter their abilities or backgrounds, all of our students receive exceptional education that enables them to reach their full potential. The conduct of the students is excellent. Ofsted January 2015: Students feel secure and like visiting the academy. In April 2010, we relocated to our new location on Lieutenant Ellis Way. The brand-new school facilities offer a superb learning environment. Our facilities include a large main hall and sports hall, theatrical studios, an outdoor amphitheatre, specialised computer labs, a Learning Resource Center and Student Center, as well as social spaces for each year group. It is served with IT facilities of industrial calibre. The original intended eight form entry school building will nearly be finished with the addition of twelve more classrooms, including two science laboratories and two technology workshops. From September 2015, this extension will be in effect. The sixth form block's final two corners will be added during the school building's final phase in order to accommodate our expanding sixth form. The Governors are putting in a bid for the money and anticipate finishing the construction by 2017–18.
