Our teacher in the reception class is Miss Berry, and Mrs. Young and Mrs. Wilson assist her. They have a wealth of knowledge regarding the Early Years Foundation Stage and have worked together for a very long time; this shows how much they like it. The fun starts at 8:45 am when our school day officially starts! The children in reception have a variety of tasks to complete each day, including phonics, reading, writing, number and shape work, as well as physical activities. However, they spend the most of their days exploring, trying, and formulating their own plans for what to do next. Even though it's busy work, they don't mind trying! Every day at 11.45 am, the three "Key Person Teams" in Reception meet for time together. We can communicate, share, and debate a wide range of topics during this time. * 20p each day or 1 per week is toast money. Beginning with the half-term in which a child turns 5, milk money is $7 each half-term. This must be paid to the office at the beginning of the half-term. (This is free for kids who qualify for free school lunches).
