Welcome to the webpage for Southglade Primary and Nursery School. I am the headteacher, and my name is Alison Thomas. Children are taught to "think they can succeed" in a secure and supportive environment at Southglade, a successful and happy school. We want to encourage our kids to give it their all in all aspects of learning and life in order to reach their full potential. This includes being willing to make errors. In order to achieve this we ensure that all our children are provided with a stimulating and creative book-based curriculum supported by a wealth and variety of enrichment activities both on and off the school site. Visitors to the school usually remark on how well-behaved our students are and how polite they are. The way our whole school treats one another is hugely important to us and we aim to ensure that all our pupils show RESPECT for everyone and make everyone feel valued. Simply said, Southglade Primary and Nursery School is a fantastic learning environment. I consider myself really fortunate to work with a group of governors and staff members who are as committed as I am to seeing that every kid is successful and happy.
