From the The Sherwood School
One of the most crucial decisions you will make as a parent is selecting the best primary school for your children, and we appreciate your interest in our institution. At The Sherwood, we want every child to have a joyful and positive experience and to progress as much as possible in all areas of learning. Our main goals are to ensure that our students have a solid foundation in the fundamentals of math and English while also making learning enjoyable. Through the Expressive Arts, we hope to encourage children's confidence to grow. Every child learns the fundamentals of music through singing, dance, and instrumental instruction taught by professionals from the Merton Music Foundation and Artis. Music is at the centre of our school. We make sure that every day is full of fresh challenges through our engaging and imaginative curriculum, our work as a Gold Rights Respecting school, as a Primary Talk school, and in our sporting and House activities. The Burnet News Club, Police Cadets, Multi-Skills, Football, and Recorder are just a few of the fun extracurricular organisations we offer. Please come and visit if you'd like to learn more. We offer prospective parents the chance to see our school on the third Tuesday of every month from 9.30 to 10.30. If you are thinking about sending your child to The Sherwood and would like to reserve a spot, call 0208 764 5100.
