From the Settle College
Being the principal of such a prosperous, successful school is an honour. Innovation, creativity, initiative, and a sense of fun and enjoyment are recognised, encouraged, and celebrated at Settle College, a joyful academic community. We view every student as an individual who brings their own special personality, abilities, talents, and interests to the classroom. Academic success is crucial, but we also want to make sure that kids are equipped with the knowledge and abilities they need to continue learning throughout their lives in a world that is changing quickly. This way, they can face any obstacles that come their way with confidence. Our fundamental goal is to provide an environment that is both challenging and safe so that every student can flourish and realise their full potential. An 11–18 comprehensive school, Settle College. One of the first comprehensive schools in the UK, Settle High School was established in 1907 as Settle Girls' High School. When the school was granted Technology College status in 2004, we once again changed its name to Settle College. At Settle College, excellent pastoral care and teaching and learning are at the core of what we do to fulfil the unique needs of every student. High standards of behaviour, respect, and decency are very important to us. From Year 9 forward, pupils have access to a variety of GCSE and vocational options thanks to our creative Key Stage 4 curriculum. In addition, we provide a comprehensive and varied selection of extracurricular activities in sports, dance, and drama, to name a few.
