Message From the Head Teacher
Head Teacher
Ms Adele Christofi
Dear Families,

I’m privileged to lead Laurel Park School, a small, community-focused school for Palmers Green and Southgate. Since opening in 2022, we’ve built a nurturing environment where every student is known by name. In our recent Ofsted (Nov 2024), we were rated ‘Good’ across all areas, with inspectors noting that ‘Pupils work hard and allow everyone to learn and achieve their best.’

Our ethos is built on strong relationships, fostering individual talents and needs. Students form close bonds across year groups, strengthening our sense of family. We focus not just on academics but on developing the whole child through our ‘Trips for All’ programme and our curriculum pillars: My Curriculum, My Character, My Culture, My Community.

In Sept 2024, we launched our vocational Sixth Form, already praised by Ofsted as having ‘got off to a strong start.’

At Laurel Park, we Learn, Persevere, and Succeed—together.

What makes Laurel Park School (LPS) special to me is, first and foremost, the fact that it is a true community school that welcomes everyone, regardless of their background. It’s a place that takes me back to my own experience of arriving in the UK at the age of 10, where I was cared for, supported, and encouraged to excel in my education. LPS is special because it has the potential to transform young lives....
My son is in year 10 at Laurel Park School. We live in Palmers Green and it’s great that he can walk to school. It was his first choice school and he chose right. He is doing well academically and enjoys other opportunities like public speaking competitions, a trip to Paris and he has just become a community ambassador for the school. He is thriving. The school is inclusive and smaller than most secondaries. As...
This school continues to impress with its continued drive on standards. Walking around the school there is no disruption to learning and there is a warm and calm environment. Students are happy. For me it is the number one choice in my local area.
As a governor, I'm particularly impressed with Laurel Park. The school has a clear identity, the culture and behaviour expectations are very strong, and the leadership team are constantly proactive to ensure that every child has great educational and life opportunities. Above all, students want to be here!
I am a governor and a parent at Laurel Park. As a governor I can see how dedicated the staff are to ensuring the wellbeing and success of all their students, often employing innovative solutions to ensure they are able to achieve the very best they can. As a parent I can see how happy and secure my daughter is at the school. She is able to participate in a wide range of extra curricular...
Laurel Park is a small, inclusive school. Our daughter is in Year 10 and is thriving at the school. She has recently attended a trip to Oxford University as part of her enrichment as well as a 3 night trip to Paris. There are a wide variety of after school clubs which are open to all pupils. The staff care about the students and support wherever necessary. Our daughter has a wide circle of friends...
Laurel Park is a small, friendly school which serves its local community. I have two children who have come through the school. They have been happy there and have done well, going on to study at 6th form. The school has been on an incredible improvement path and the recent ofsted report is a real reflection of how intentionally the school's leadership and staff team think about what will make the most difference to the...
My child chose this school over our more local option and it was 100% the right choice. It is a school where all children flourish academically, socially and emotionally. They are treated as individuals and staff know them all. I also love the fact that there is no junk food available, just proper meals and a full salad bar nothing like what I hear other secondary schools serve. This school goes above and beyond.
I am privileged to work at Laurel Park. Our small, nurturing environment allows students to thrive and excel in all areas of the curriculum. I am asked how I am everyday, by children who genuinely care about my response. The feeling is mutual, we care about each and every student and support them to achieve their very best both in and out of the classroom.
Laurel Park is a small nurturing school full of staff who care. It has high ambition for its young people and is a school where every child is known by name by its headteacher and staff members - it is impressive. The school has a wealth of extra curricular opportunities, including excellent links with universities and industry experts. It’s a school that caters for all students so the curriculum includes both vocational and academic pathways...
Laurel park school is a wonderful nurturing and caring school. My daughter started at the end of year 9 and was immediately made to feel welcome by her peers and members of staff. The students are treated with respect by the adults working in the school, and the focus on vocational subjects along with the academic subjects is fantastic. Any young person would be very lucky to attend Laurel Park School
