From the Purbrook Park School
John Deverell constructed our lovely main structure in 1839, and the Deverell family owned it until 1919. The home and estate were purchased by the county government for 11,000 in 1924. Our institution was founded as "Purbrook Park County High School" in 1924. As soon as the institution gained popularity and esteem, a significant building programme got underway. Our first school gymnasium and first school hall were constructed in 1935 and 1928, respectively. In the 1950s and 1960s, more construction was done as the school continued to prosper and gain popularity. The main structure was 150 years old in 1989, and more alterations and additions were made. We were happy to inaugurate our brand-new, cutting-edge 3G sports fields in April 2015. New cricket, rugby, and football fields debuted in September 2016. Additionally, we now have a superb discovery centre with brand-new computer rooms, a brand-new kitchen, and a two-story cafeteria. We have expanded and remodelled our school during the past two years. A brand-new dance studio and a new music suite with practise spaces and a recording studio are now among the fantastic amenities available. Additionally, we renovated the classrooms and the main school hall. The entire project was finished on time and within budget, allowing it to be ready for the start of the 2017–2018 academic year. Please email us at [email protected] if you have any questions about our new facilities.
