From the The Phoenix Collegiate
Phoenix Collegiate is a multi-cultural 11-19 foundation school, serving 1950 students making us arguably the largest school in the West Midlands. Situated in the North of West Bromwich close to the border with Walsall and opened in September 2010, it quickly established itself as one of the most rapidly improving schools in the area, an accolade achieved through our commitment to continually improving the quality of teaching and learning and the provision of exciting and dynamic learning experiences for our students.
In 2017, we started moving into our state of the art facilities with the final completion in Autumn 2019.
Academic success is important to us at Phoenix because we recognise that for our students, an outstanding education can be life changing. At Phoenix students are challenged to achieve the very best they can, and within a caring, supportive and vibrant environment, they thrive.
We have a strong foundation of good quality teaching, evidenced through our strong examination results. Phoenix is not only about delivering great qualifications; it’s about building the character and self-esteem of our young people, opening young minds, nurturing ambition and inspiring a generation to achieve beyond their wildest imagination.
An example of this is our CCF unit which established in September 2017 with a Royal Navy section but due to its success and impact with our students, expanded to include a Royal Air Force section in September 2019 and now a Royal Marine section.

In a world where society is often fragmented and polarised, our school remains a community where honesty and integrity matter, humour and hard work are equally important values, and where the process of education is as important as the grade. We are a school proud of our achievements and excited by what the future holds.

I hope having browsed our website, you will have an appreciation of what drives us at Phoenix, however a website can only give you a flavour of what we do, and the opportunities that await those who choose to study or work with us.

We are immensely proud of our school and welcome any visits.

Hello my name is Chickoni from year 9 and i have experienced things in Phoenix. Food is super duper disgusting , the teachers are very helpful except Mrs Kapoor, Mrs Kindsey, Mrs Sidhu, Mr Kainth (he keeps burping and farting and he never listens to anyone. you need to put your hand up for 10 mins for having the permission to ask anything. also he talks to girls.) and the rest is super great!
