Penwortham Girls' High School is the only non-selective, non-fee-paying girls' school in Lancashire, giving it a special position in the community.
We are proud of our long history of academic accomplishment and accept girls of all skills, passions, and interests.
We are experts in girls' education, and we offer a nurturing, encouraging, and demanding atmosphere where girls succeed.
We are a tech-forward institution that has made significant investments in new equipment to give our students the best possible preparation for the future.
However, the traits we instil in the girls are just as significant.
A prospectus will only give you a taste of school life, as any headteacher will tell you, and you can only truly understand a school if you visit it on an average day.
For this reason, I strongly encourage you to come see us throughout the school day so that you can personally experience our school's ethos.
Being the headteacher of a school with such a great history and bright future makes me feel incredibly proud.

Some teachers I liked but overall i hated going i didnt feel safe at that school and i have also been bullied by a teacher for 3 years at that school as well they have also refussed to give me the support i need as well and they didnt care that much about my mental health either becuse my mum reported that i was suicidal to the school and the receptionist passed it on to...
Great school for supporting students and promoting mental health. My daughter has made great friends and teachers are supportive.
