Strong foundations in all areas of development will enable every child to grow independent and prosper, and everyone in the school is dedicated to giving all of our students the best start in life.
The Oaks expects all employees and volunteers to share its commitment to ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all of our children.
Along with our Health and Safety policy and Prevent strategy, we also have a comprehensive child protection policy in place.
I am our designated employee for child protection and safeguarding because I am the headteacher; in my absence, Mr. Gary Mainwaring, the deputy headteacher, and Mrs. Sam Winton, the assistant headteacher, both of whom have received full training, can handle any concerns about safeguarding or child protection.
Contact MASH if you have any immediate safety concerns (01403 229900).
Parents are a child's first teachers, and we strongly believe in collaborating with them throughout the course of a child's time at our school.
We think that having strong morals and a good outlook are essential for developing into lifelong learners and contributing members of society.
Our school's motto, "Roots to develop, wings to fly, success and confidence for all," captures the school's supportive culture and core principles.

In my experience SEN CHILDREN are at a massive disadvantage. Alot of misuse of position and power. Bullying not addressed accordingly. Alot of parent carer blame. Staff think they know better ,children voices not heard.

This school does not meet the need of SEN children, no child friendly approach is used and alot of parent - carer blame. Bullying is not dealt with accordingly and the correct children held accountable for their actions. Mis use of position and power.
Children with SEN need not met adequately. Bullying is not addressed, and a lot of parent carer blame . Safeguarding is a joke from my experience.
From my experience not a good school, not SEND safe, if I could give it a -1 I would. Safeguarding is a joke
