Welcome to Yew Tree Community School in Chadderton and Mather Street Primary School in Failsworth, which are federated. We value you and your kid greatly, and the information on this website will make it easier for us to collaborate so that your child learns as effectively as possible. Every term, you'll get the chance to speak with your child's teacher, you'll receive a newsletter detailing what your kid will be learning, and there will be homework assignments, assemblies, and other activities you can participate in. The teacher of your child should always be the first person you speak to if you are concerned because that person will know your child the best. Though we do ask that you do this towards the end of the day because we always start our days by reading. If a phone call at the end of the day is not convenient for you, Mrs. Pitt or Mrs. Farrington can set one up. If you ever feel that your child's teacher isn't providing you with enough information, Miss Pitt or Mrs. Farrington can set up an appointment for you to speak with Mrs. Brown or me (Head of School). We love our school and would want to hear what you think as well. Every newsletter I send out comes with a message slip, and on parents' nights, we always consult with you on some area of our service. If you have any amazing suggestions, please let me know at a later time. Our governors, particularly the parent governors, offer a supplementary channel of communication; more details are available on the website's governors page. Remember that they can only address concerns that affect the whole school; not individual ones.
