My name is Hannele Reece, and I have the honour of serving as the head teacher of Barkingside, England's voluntary-aided Orthodox Jewish comprehensive school, Kantor King Solomon High School. KKSHS, in my opinion, is the perfect example of a school for the modern world. As an East London school, we welcome students of all religions and those with no particular religious affiliation. We are steadfastly committed to the Jewish ideals of education, community, and charity. As a group, we put more emphasis on the similarities than the differences. This emphasis is demonstrated in a welcoming and nurturing environment where students are aware of the value of their voice but also realise that it must be interested in and engaged with what others have to say. Despite being mostly Jewish and Muslim families from East London and Essex, we also have pupils of different faiths as well as individuals who have no particular religious affiliation. We are from more than 30 different countries, speak more than 50 different languages, and all call London home. Multiculturalism has frequently been mistaken for a supposed lack of identity, although this is not the case in our country. Ofsted stated in May 2016 that Leaders put students' welfare first, which is a source of great pleasure for everyone who works here. Being a good school, we constantly try to improve. Our school's slogan, which is based on Ethics of the Fathers 1:14, serves as the cornerstone for the principles we uphold and the principles we try to instil in our children. Who will stand up for me if not me? Who am I if I exist simply for myself? When, if not now? Accept my invitation to visit us and check us out for yourself.

We used to have Knowledge Organisers, which were actually useful for studying, but they got removed and replaced with Planners, which are mainly used for things like toilet passes. The school expects us to use these planners to keep track of homework, but they are not very useful. No one is going to take out a planner, search for the right page and check assignments when everything is already posted online anyway. Another change is...
Ehh-mazing school, What did nick eh 30 say? Never give up! and thats exactly what this school did! they didnt give up and Now we have a exemplary school, a lot of diversity within the student body.
Worst school ever. Education there is horrible as teachers just up and leave and my child has cover almost every day. It was also told to me that students who were in year 10 in 2022, did not have an English teacher or a computer science teacher for a whole year. A whole year of GCSE learning down the drain. Not to mention the situation at lunch and break times. Students have to wait in...
Unless I was white or Jewish, my career was never gonna progress. Really bad support and you don't feel appreciated at all
