We appreciate your interest in Hillcrest School's The Oaks Sixth Form. Our sixth-form centre welcomes all students regardless of gender. We provide a variety of academic and Level 3 vocational courses with a variety of paths, all of which are instructed by subject-matter experts. Hillcrest Sixth Form students do very well, and we are very happy with our 2017 A-Level and Level 3 BTEC results. Once more, we had a 100% pass rate at A Level, with 20% of the submissions receiving an A*/A. We provide excellent teaching and learning in a welcoming and caring atmosphere. Each student has a Personal Tutor assigned to them, with whom they will meet to discuss their academic progress. Throughout their stay in the Sixth Form, students will be supported by pastoral advice and counselling that is always available thanks to a system in place. Every Wednesday, students have the chance to participate in the Enrichment programme and earn additional credentials. Both Year 12 and Year 13 students have the option of completing the Extended Project Qualification over the course of one or two years. Students are guided step-by-step through the university application process during enrichment, and a variety of guest speakers from higher education, apprenticeships, jobs, or training offer them advise and direction. The excellent results that our students achieve have allowed recent Year 13 leavers to gain places at Russell Group Universities on a wide range of degree programmes including law, biomedical science and politics. I sincerely hope that you will find the information on our website to be both useful and interesting, and that after reading it, you will decide to enrol in The Oaks Sixth Form at Hillcrest School. We encourage visits to the sixth form and eagerly await your application.
