Students receive individualised, customised career counselling throughout the school, and this year, post-secondary study opportunities have been made available to all of our students.
Since we feel that this is essential to our ethos, we are working to become a UNICEF Rights Respecting School at the highest level.
We regularly hold competitions within the House system in subjects like art, literacy, music, and sports.
The House Point system makes a big contribution to establishing a culture that recognises achievement in many different areas.
Between parents, the school, and other organisations, the Learning Mentor serves as a liaison.
Students have found A New Girl's Easy Listening Service (ANGELS) to be a particularly effective tool for integrating into campus life fast.
To ensure a smooth transition, volunteers from Year 10 are assigned to each group of Year 7 tutors.
At Greenbank, there are a wide range of options available during lunchtime, after school, and all year long.
We received the Association for PE Quality Mark with Distinction in honour of our outstanding PE instruction, commitment to a culture of sport for everyone, and achievements in competitive sports.
Additionally, in 2019 we received the esteemed Sefton Secondary Sports School and Team of the Year award.
The Duke of Edinburgh Award Program is extremely well-liked and supports the goal of the school to foster leadership qualities.
180 pupils received the award in 2019 at the Bronze- or Silver-level.
Through the calendar of Enrichment Days, imaginative and creative enhancements to our curriculum are offered.
At Greenbank High School, the global perspective is a major component of our curriculum.
Through engaging curriculum activities, students have a wide range of opportunities to travel the world and learn about and respect various cultures.
We now maintain close academic ties with institutions in Ghana, Spain, and France.
We have gained the International School Award from the British Council in recognition of our expertise in developing active global citizens.
Students have the option to participate in study abroad trips each year.
We have developed opportunities for students to become leaders in areas ranging from Modern Foreign Languages, Literacy, Sport and Science to Anne Frank Leaders in partnership with The Anne Frank Trust.
Every student has the opportunity to be a Form Leader and can be elected onto our active Article 12 School Council which gives students a voice in changes that affect them within school.
