Waltham Forest started its tenure as London's first Borough of Culture on Friday, January 11. Welcome to the Forest, a three-day celebration that took place at the Town Hall and various locations throughout the borough, marked the beginning of the borough. Lights, music, and videos that were projected onto the Town Hall itself were all part of Welcome to the Forest. Several of our pupils were interviewed by ITV News at One Hoe Street alongside pupils from Sir George Monoux College, about their thoughts on the exciting opportunity ahead of Waltham Forest and its young people. One student remarked "Being featured in an ITV News video was thrilling and a wonderful experience. The town halls production as well as the light show were breathtaking ".
