After three years, I still feel genuine enthusiasm and great pleasure in my job as headteacher.
Being able to spark change and leave a lasting influence on young people's life continues to be an honour.
The history of our Academy is at an exciting point right now.
I hope you can notice from our website how quickly Great Barr Academy has advanced and improved.
We wish to share with you the exceptional range of our customised learning programmes, the diversity of the opportunities available to a student at this academy, and the dynamic character of the learning experience.
When they graduate from our programme at the age of 18, we want our students to be confident in who they are and to be able to navigate the world on their own.
Great Barr Academy, a larger-than-average secondary school that is a part of Shaw Education Trust, is located about 6 miles north of the heart of Birmingham.
The institution serves students between the ages of 11 and 18, and the Sixth Form currently has about 220 pupils.
We take pleasure in collaborating closely with our feeder schools to make sure that the move from primary to secondary school is a smooth one.
Our curriculum is comprehensive, diverse, and welcoming.
Above all, we have adopted an unwavering vigour to enhance teaching and learning in all curriculum areas.
Through PD Days, which includes guest lecturers, outside visits, and specialised programmes, British values & a sense of community are continuously ingrained.
We sincerely hope you would watch the movies and look at the photos in the attachments since they will give you a better understanding of our fantastic educational institution.
Finally, take advantage of the chance to admire the outstanding projects, facilities, and possibilities offered to all of our students at Great Barr Academy.

Rude feral students vandalising local community, no respect. Ask any local resident within a mile radius of the school they’ll have nothing nice to say. Teachers bury issues instead of dealing with issues
the most best school but good techers but give a try 100 percent you are going to love it but if you can't pick up your child then go to a close NHA school
Good school. but always on about hands on policy in assembly. the food is little bit expensive. Thats my opinion
