From the Flixton Girls School
All of our primary school children who were offered a spot at Flixton Girls School (FGS) starting in year 6 received a heartfelt welcome.
In order for them to get to know their fellow form members, form tutors, and teaching staff, all the girls attended our two-day transition.
The two-day transition schedule included an assembly, form time, Moving Up activities, math, science, and English lessons, as well as the Cognitive Aptitude Test, which gives a wealth of information about all the girls' literacy, numeracy, nonverbal communication, and spatial ability.
They also had the opportunity to discover more about the Book Buzz (http://www.bookbuzz.org.uk/about-us/) and the library.
In September, each student will get a reading book from Bookbuzz.
At FGS, we take pride in ensuring that every one of our students transitions smoothly from elementary to secondary education.
They expressed to our team their eagerness to accept an offer of enrollment at FGS after visiting our engaging Open Evening.
On Thursday, September 22, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., we will host our second Open Evening for prospective students, their parents, and other family members.
