Being the Headteacher of Crestwood School and Sixth Form is a privilege and a joy for me.
I firmly believe that access to a quality public education should be a right, not a privilege. This belief, along with the shared Invictus vision that all of our students, regardless of background or ability, should have access to the opportunities provided by the best private institutions, makes us a special part of our community.
Despite not being surprised, I am incredibly proud of our most recent Ofsted rating of Good with Outstanding characteristics (February 2018).
It was wonderful for our staff and students to be recognised for all of their hard work and efforts over the past few years. A strong school acknowledges its strengths and shortcomings.
We have achieved the goal of having at least a Good school serving our community, but we are not content with that; instead, we aim to constantly be Outstanding when we are next inspected.
A rich and inclusive education where students are at the centre of everything, are completely supported, appreciated, and encouraged to go far beyond what they ever imagined possible will always come first, but progress and achievement will always come first.
The building of our new science block, which will be state-of-the-art and competitive with any school in the region and beyond, is scheduled to begin in October 2019.
We are pleased to work with Invictus 6th Form to provide Post 16 education.
I have a strong commitment to giving our students the chance to complete their education at our institution.
Students in Crestwood 6th Form also gain from the tools and teaching experience provided by the other 5 Invictus Schools.
For more information or to obtain a copy of the Invictus 6th Form Prospectus, please speak with any member of the teaching staff.
