A student at Bathampton School named Mary Willton embroidered an image of a woman in a garden in 1804 to symbolise "Simplicity." The first logbook ever kept starts in 1863. On occasion, kids were kept inside until eight o'clock at night to raise their level of performance. Some Bathampton schoolchildren would have been able to read "Alice in Wonderland" and "Alice through the Looking Glass" around 1869. They might have also heard tales about the first railway's journey across North America.

For some kids, writing in their books without leaving blots was impossible. As a result, half-day breaks were granted in Bathampton so that residents could attend agricultural shows. Geography gained popularity as a result of the growth of Queen Victoria's empire. When the school was examined in 1879, it was decided that additional time should be allotted for mental computation. The Log Book contains the only mention of a youngster receiving a cane in 1883.

A Magic Lantern Show was made possible in 1884 thanks to the introduction of electricity in 1878. Children may finally save their drawings when they were finished in drawing books in 1891. The globe underwent significant change throughout the thirty years between the school's written histories. Children stopped attending school at the age of 14, aeroplanes started to fly, and X-rays were discovered. The silent movies were replaced by the first talking picture pictures, and the school's telephone system was set up for the first time.

One of the early wireless devices may have picked up information about the General Strike. After 35 years, the school underwent a redecoration in 1932. Drill had now been replaced by folk dancing and Rhythmic Exercises. The school had experienced severe weather at several points. The first time the Wireless or Radio was used in a classroom was in the year that King George passed away.

The guidelines for education in this nation were altered by the new Education Act of 1944. The feared disease diphtheria was being avoided via vaccination. The stove in the Infants' room took the place of the open fire that had previously warmed the space in the winter. Road Safety was taught for the first time and Mass X-ray for TB was offered. The school expanded for the last time in 1972 when a new caravan classroom replaced the old station master's garden.

Teachers retired early as their numbers were quickly declining. In 1979, for the first time since it was built, the largest room became a Hall without a resident class. The Alpha/Beta Maths Scheme was in use and various Reading Schemes were being introduced. By 1985, the school had four courses once more and had been completely redecorated. Jolyon Laycock composed, rehearsed and finally conducted a performance of the musical 'Bladud'.

The Education Reform Act aimed to make sure that children were being educated for the 21st Century. Children at Bathampton School in 1990 used the. Computer and printer; they did a considerable amount of Science and Technology. They tried a variety of crafts including Needlework and Lacemaking. Their sports included Netball, Unihoc, Short Tennis and Badminton.
