Alexandra is a friendly and welcoming school where pupils experience a happy and fulfilling education. We value every child and nurture the success in all pupils both academically and socially.
We believe in developing children’s love of learning and this starts in our nursery and continues all the way to Year 6. We set high expectations of personal achievement and moral standards and work hard to ensure that every child fulfils their potential.
The school values of Excellence, Exploration, Nurture and Community are at the heart of everything we do and we take pride in our commitment to establish lifelong learning. We want children to develop a deep body of knowledge, so that as our pupils progress through the curriculum they can demonstrate their detailed understanding in all subject areas. This offer is further enhanced with our ambition to ensure that classroom learning is enriched with school trips, visits from professional experts and, in the upper school, overnight residentials. Through these experiences, we hope to empower the children, so that by the time they reach Year 6 they have a strong foundation of skills and knowledge and are ready for the transition to secondary school.
We are fortunate to have excellent facilities that enable us to provide inspiring learning opportunities. Following our expansion from an infant to a primary school in 2016, we now boast new key stage 2 classrooms, an outside multi-use games area, a computing suite and also our own forest school. Our vibrant spaces are all supported with modern technology with laptops and tablets accessible for pupil use and a remote learning platform to strengthen the home-school partnership.
Teachers are fully invested in creating opportunities for memorable academic, social and emotional learning. Staff work in partnership with parents to meet individual needs and strive for continuous improvement, so that children enjoy their learning and make great progress.
Please do not hesitate to contact us if you would like to find out more about our school.
