Outside of school hours, we take care of our kids.
Children as young as 3 might be registered to attend on a regular basis or according to a schedule that accommodates their parents' shift employment.
Every day, there are two sessions at OOSC.
On particular days all year long, Wybunbury Delves Out of School Club will offer Holiday Club.
Before the break, at the start of the half-term, these will be advertised.
Any cancellation of reservations for OOSC and/or Holiday Club requires 48 hours' notice.
No matter how confident they may be, some kids may have trouble fitting in at a before- or after-school group.
Having said that, the majority of kids do settle in extremely well, giving staff members the chance to give those that need it extra care.
If you are worried, please talk to a staff member so we can determine the best course of action for you and your kid.
Preschoolers are escorted to the club by the pre-school staff; Reception, Year 1, and Year 2 students are taken from their classrooms and escorted across by a staff member; and students in Years 3 through 6 are expected to make their own way to the club on their own. They will be signed in at OOSC after their teacher releases them from the class door.
At the Wybunbury Delves After-School Club, what will my child eat?
The school must adhere to dietary requirements.
In order to provide a balanced diet, particularly for students who have a hot lunch in school and attend OOSC until 6pm, attention has been paid to these criteria as well as the lunchtime menu offered by the school kitchen.
Tea is provided in the school hall; if picking up between 4.30 and 5 o'clock is necessary, please do it outside the main hall door so that all of the kids can enjoy their tea without feeling rushed.
Children will get the chance to assist with the preparation for breakfast and tea time.
The menu for the week is planned with the children's assistance.
In the event that your child is a picky eater at home, you can discover that at OOSC, he or she will gladly consume what others are eating.
Never will your youngster be made to eat by force.
School is not OOSC.
However, like in every community, there must be certain fundamental guidelines for conduct.
All children are required to abide by certain safety regulations that MUST be followed.
Most rules at OOSC serve two needs; they prevent your child from doing something undesirable and, in turn, protect him/her from having something unpleasant done in return.
Your youngster will quickly discover what conduct is appropriate at OOSC.
Your child will be expected to accept the rules when they begin OOSC.
The club follows the school's behaviour code by using a red card and yellow card warnings.
If this is a regular occurrence with your child, we will inform you of this.
If behaviour regularly disrupts club and the other children, and in working with family the behaviour persists, we will withdraw the use of OOSC from that particular child.
We will ask at the beginning of the year for your permission to provide us with three contact numbers which we can use in an emergency.
If your child becomes ill or has an accident while attending OOSC we will contact you immediately using your Emergency Contact Number(s).
Please ensure that you inform us if any of the contact numbers change in the course of the year.
