From the Woodside Academy
Greetings from Woodside Academy. In December 2012, Woodside Primary School converted to an independent academy as part of the government's plans for top-performing schools. Since then, we've increased and made use of our academy freedoms to provide a stimulating and current curriculum for our students. We set strong academic requirements for our kids while also making sure they participate in a wide variety of extracurricular activities that foster their confidence, creativity, and social skills. We are fortunate to have large fields and nearby woodlands that we have created for outdoor learning and utilise for a wide variety of sports. We base a lot of our history and science lessons on the local environment, but we also educate our kids how to play the steel pan, speak Spanish, and Mandarin so they can be successful global citizens.
