The school was initially established in 1896 as a part of the St Andrews Parish.
It started off as an infant school in 1905 and served as both a church and a school.
At this point, the school gained County Primary School status, and construction on the first section of the current school building, which is located on the former site of Shores Green Farm, started in 1975 and was completed in 1976.
However, because phase one consisted of the Infant Department without a hall or kitchen, the old school continued to be used and housed the Headteacher's office. The second phase of the school, intended for 1977, was abandoned due to a lack of funding.
A vehicle arrived at dinnertime to provide food to the students in the new school. Dinners were prepared in the kitchen of the old school.
This persisted up until 1984, when the Community Center next to the school was erected, and the local government made use of the building, which is utilised by the school all day.
On the first day of the spring semester in January 1984, when St. Andrew's Church closed as a school, they are getting ready to relocate up the hill to the new school.
To better the reception area, administrative space, and classroom accommodations, additional additions were made in 1992 and 2000.
The third mobile classroom was kept to provide a setting for the Acorns Breakfast and After-School Club, music rooms, and teaching facilities, which further extends extracurricular activities.
For added security, shutters and CCTV have been installed.
You will notice a really special space as soon as you walk into the school library where the Wincham Village War Memorial is on display.
This used to be hanging with pride on the wall of the old St. Andrew's church, but it was removed in the late 1990s and put back in when the school's addition was finished in 2000.
The War Memorial is decorated with poppies during the month of November, and on November 11th every year, youngsters come to the area and spend some time reflecting on all the courageous men and women who have lost their lives in wars since the First World War.
We all find it to be a really wonderful spot, and you are invited to visit.
For more information, call the school office.
The church was no longer in use after the school relocated to its current location, therefore the structure was destroyed to make way for a housing development.
The big 70 kilogramme bell that was housed on the church spire rang to alert the nearby communities that the church service was about to begin.
Mr. Watts, a developer whose kids went to the school at the time, offered to give the bell to the institution.
A competition was organized to design a structure to house the bell, which was to be erected on the school grounds and Mr Watts kindly agreed to judge the competition and to build the winning design.
The school bell which rang for many years from the bell tower in the old Victorian Church of St Andrew's now stands proudly amongst the trees in a corner of the school field.
It is rung ten times to signal the start and conclusion of each term as well as the beginning of the yearly Summer Fayre.
The School is now known as a Community Primary School, truly serving the village and surrounding areas, providing a sound education through a caring family philosophy.
