I would like to extend a very warm welcome to all of our students, as well as to their parents and carers, on behalf of the Headteacher here at Wellfield Infant and Nursery School.
As the headteacher of Wellfield for the past eight years, I feel really privileged to be a part of this wonderful institution.
We Inspire and Nurture Success is our school's motto.
We work hard to offer each child the highest possible level of care and assistance, as well as a stimulating learning environment that fosters communication and cooperation among students, staff, and classmates as well as among the staff members themselves.
Our team has high expectations for every child, and year after year, we consistently outperform the national average in terms of performance. (
The school underwent an inspection in February 2016 and achieved an Outstanding grade across the board.
Our qualified staff is committed to giving each of our students the best possible start, and we invite parents and carers to collaborate with us to promote their child's education and development.
For our parents and carers, we have created a variety of workshops that we present all year round.
These give a deeper understanding of the teaching and learning taking place in the classroom and offer suggestions for assisting kids' learning at home.
The Parents area of our website contains further details about the courses.
We often publish a newsletter to the entire student body to keep them updated on school events.
At least once a term, we have Parents Forums, which provide us a great chance to share our goals for the school with you and get your feedback.
We operate a "open door" policy at Wellfield, where you are encouraged to visit school at any reasonable time and see firsthand the learning opportunities we provide for all of our children. This is because we believe it is crucial that mutual understanding and trust should serve as the foundation of our shared responsibility.
Every year, we have "Stay and Play" taster sessions where all of our parents and carers are welcome to attend.
