Success of the Curriculum: The curriculum is broad and ambitious, designed to build learning from early years through Year 6.
Areas Needing Improvement: The development of pupils' writing is not as well thought out, resulting in inconsistent high-standard work.
Performance in Maths & Reading: Pupils generally achieve good outcomes in their learning, with reading being a particular strength.
Support for Falling Behind: Robust assessment means timely interventions are put in place for pupils of any age who start to fall behind.
Behaviour and Attitudes: Pupils understand the systems in place to support positive behaviour and enjoy earning rewards.
Support for SEND Pupils: All pupils, including those with SEND, are treated equally and enabled to participate fully in school life.

Parental Involvement: The school ensures that parents appreciate the importance of attendance and its positive impact on pupils’ learning.
Extracurricular Activities: Pupils enjoy the clubs and enrichment opportunities on offer. They enjoyed learning to swim in the 'pop-up' pool and spending time on the school farm.
Teacher Engagement: Teachers give clear explanations of new ideas and concepts, and adopt a suitable approach to assessment.
Impact on Student Progress: However, teachers' regular checking of how pupils are getting on 'in the moment' is less effective, leading to gaps in pupils' knowledge.
Teaching Staff Challenges: There is a need for a consistent approach to teaching writing to ensure all pupils develop their skills confidently.
Assessment of Teaching Quality: Quality of teachers’ checks that pupils have understood their learning is not consistently effective, sometimes leading to unnoticed gaps and misconceptions.
