Junior classes will enjoy a carol concert at St. Thomas' Church at 2:00. For Nursery and Infant classes at 9.10am and at 2pm, there will be a Christmas nativity. Thorntree is a well-liked and prosperous community school with one form entrance that is located in Charlton in the London Borough of Greenwich. The team at this warm and friendly school works hard to make learning fun and relevant for the students. As an Infant and Nursery School, the institution began operations in 1927. An addition was constructed in 1995 to suit the older primary students. Thorntree School opened its doors as a full-fledged primary school in 1998, serving students from ages three to eleven. We have two halls in addition to the classrooms, as well as a well-stocked library. Our mountainous grounds, which are next to Maryon Wilson Park, include three playgrounds, a pond, a big terraced field, and trees. The school's rural location, unusual for an inner-London institution, lends it a unique character. It is almost completely buried in a deep valley of trees. Thorntree is a progressive, inclusive school with high standards for all of our students. Everyone in Thorntree aspires to be the best version of themselves. The school promotes an environment where students are supportive of one another's diversity and recognises students' skills. We acknowledge that removing obstacles to learning and ensuring that everyone can learn falls under the purview of every teacher and LSA in the school. Every kid has a right to get quality first teaching and adequate differentiation in order to meet their requirements. There is dyslexia in classrooms. Friendly resources and displays and children are encouraged to recognise their own learning styles.
