From the St Thomas Primary School
The Foundation Stage Curriculum, Key Stage 1 Curriculum, and Key Stage 2 Curriculum are all taught in our school. St. Thomas Primary School is a one-form entrance primary school that teaches students in single-age groups whenever practical. Children can get instruction one-on-one, in pairs, or as a whole class. Additionally, children spend time with one another at assemblies, playtimes, and other interschool events. We wear a red, grey, and white outfit. It is clever, useful, and reasonably priced. We urge our kids to take pleasure in their looks and the uniform provides them a feeling of identity. Children should wear appropriate footwear that is flat, supportive, and non-slip. We kindly urge that youngsters not wear jewellery for their safety. Only one set of tiny stud earrings should be worn by every youngster with pierced ears. St. Thomas Primary School is part of a local learning community, which includes all feeder primary schools for West Exe Technology College, where our children transfer the September after their eleventh birthday. The most recent project is starting to have an influence on St. Thomas Primary School's options for before and after school activities. Parents will be informed as soon as these become available. Children must attend class regularly in order to benefit fully from the opportunities provided at this school. We set targets for attendance with our Educational Welfare Officer, and work with families where lateness and attendance are a problem. We operate a same day telephone system for absent children, and report unauthorised absences in a child's annual report. Please remember that only the school, within the context of the law, can approve absence, not parents.
