The St. Peter's Brafferton Church of England Voluntary Aided Primary School is pleased to welcome you.
We have high standards for one another and strive to give our kids the finest learning environment by cooperating closely with our church, parents, students, and the larger community.
We are a small, flourishing, and pleasant village school that offers holiday programmes, a preschool for children ages 2, 3, and 4, as well as before- and after-school care from 8 am to 6 pm.
Here at St. Peter's, we work hard to foster an environment that is welcoming, compassionate, and inspiring. Our school community is guided by our core Christian principles, which help our students develop their capacity for compassion, forgiveness, truth, trust, friendship, and endurance. As a direct outcome of successful instruction, students make rapid advancements in reading, writing, and arithmetic.
We are also excited to publish our most recent SIAMS report, which was completed on February 14, 2019.
We are thrilled with our designation as a good school because we were one of the first schools in North Yorkshire to undergo inspections under the new, significantly more stringent evaluation schedule "The development of the curriculum is influenced by Christian principles in all areas, with a special emphasis on spiritual growth.
Students are motivated to investigate "big concepts," are curious, and enjoy going to school. The Christian virtues of community, compassion, truth, trust, friendship, and endurance are discussed with students in this setting.
This was emphasised by a student who said, "Things is OK to get it wrong, it just helps you learn." Teachers continuously hold students to high standards, which promote independent learning and meeting ambitious goals ".
