After the parish church, which was constructed and inaugurated in the 1860s, our school was established in 1873. Many of the original arched windows still exist in the school building, which was created by church architects and is typical of a church school from the mid-Victorian era. The National Society for the Education of the Poor in the Principles of the Established Church served as the organisation that oversaw the establishment of the school. During a time of growing urbanisation in London, the school first opened. It was expanded in 1883 and 1898 and offered 522 spaces for both boys and girls. Major fire struck the institution in August 2013. About 80% of the structure was destroyed. The repaired building reopened in September 2014 following a significant makeover. We moved into Alexandra House in September 2015, which is close to the old building. An historic structure from the 1930s, Alexandra House has undergone meticulous renovations while preserving many of its original characteristics. In the 1930s, the local authority had a health centre constructed on the site of a Rothschild School. It existed before the National Health Service was established. Its goal was to offer the neighborhood's residents full medical treatment. West London underwent a huge industrial and municipal development boom in the 1930s. Due to the abundance of spectacular factories and offices constructed along it in the 1930s, a local part of the A4 that runs just north of the school was dubbed the "Golden Mile." These structures embodied optimism and modernism to the fullest. A lot of structures from the 1930s were constructed in the "liner style," including Alexandra House.
