The Roman Catholic primary school St. Mary's celebrated its Golden Jubilee in 2017. We had a special Mass for the entire school on the day when the building of the school was completed. Former staff members and governors joined us. We also requested Father Paul's blessing of our new library to honour the occasion. For us, Bishop Alan Hopes officiated at Mass. On the field with our backs to the water, we enjoyed a picnic lunch. In 1967, the school was opened. It was constructed thanks to the kindness of the Sisters of St. Mary of Namur and the Lowestoft Roman Catholic community, who contributed all of the building's funding.
