I hope you will get a sense of what we can provide for your child or, if you are already a parent, that it will provide you more information about daily life at your child's school.
Sports that foster children's competitive drive and those that provide full access for kids of all levels are particularly important to us at St. Mary's.
In order to do this, we intend to create an all-weather, top-of-the-line running track by September 2019 that will encircle the school's playing fields.
This will give a better surface for a variety of PE programmes, after-school groups, and playtime sports, as well as motivate kids to get fitter and compete against one another in track events.
We are happy to say that the volunteers from our church have now established a "Full Circle" programme that brings together students from our school and elderly residents from the neighbourhood. Our relationship with St. Mary's church is as strong as ever.
A weekly drop-in session is also offered by Emma Kennedy from the church community for parents to get support, direction, and a sign-posting service.
The service is greatly improved by our weekly hosting of the Chipping Norton Junior Orchestra.
Because our clarinet and string groups participated in the Chipping Norton Music Festival and earned some impressive grades from the participating judges, this high-quality provision had a huge influence this year.
It gives me great pleasure to inform you that the wildly famous St. Mary's Summer Festival will return this year during the summer term. (The "Friends of St Mary's," a group of committed parents in charge of planning social activities and fundraisers, organised the event.
We have a number of programmes in place because math is our area of emphasis for this academic year.
The "mastery" approach to mathematics has been emphasised at the school, and I would be more than pleased to speak with parents or visitors about this initiative and what it means for teaching methods and for students' ability to be active learners and problem solvers.
The school has implemented small teaching groups in order to enhance the student to teacher ratio and provide Year 6 students with one-on-one review sessions because math is a priority area for improvement.
Please do not hesitate to contact Lisa, Suzie, or Anne at our school offices if you are a parent looking for a school placement for your kid and would like more information or to schedule a visit to our school. They will make the required arrangements.
