As a Catholic college, we place a high value on the education of the whole person.
In a supportive environment, we want our children to grow intellectually, physically, and spiritually.
The following is how the Catholic Education Service (CES) most recently described the work done by our schools: Catholic schools are a gathering place for students to engage in open and informed discussions about religion in order to explore and develop their own understandings of their faith.
High academic standards and the nurturing of the whole person are goals of Catholic schools.
In this context, we have created a method of teaching values that is implemented in tutor groups, the official curriculum, public worship, and chaplaincy.
Our dedication to instilling values in young people is demonstrated by the curricular time and status allocated to religious education.
The Citizenship and Life Skills programme of study, which is taught during tutor time, aids in helping students acquire social and moral awareness as well as a comprehension of the political, legal, and economic aspects of adult society.
Ensures that young people receive an education (PSHE) programme of study that equips them with the knowledge, understanding, and skills they need to manage their lives both now and in the future.
Work on anti-bullying, online safety, sex education, drug education, physical and mental health, social and economic well-being, careers, and community cohesiveness will be included in this.
Our chaplaincy team strives to be unique and welcoming.
Students who are enjoying youth and its joys and hopes will be supported, and their growing feeling of self-worth will be fostered.
Connections based on gospel values, relationships based on respect for each person as being created by God, and relationships that are built on these values assist to form a "Witnessing Community," which is a key component of chaplaincy in St. Josephs.
Religious services and retreats, for example, provide opportunity for us to concentrate on these principles.
We want our students to graduate from our institution with strong academic credentials, as resilient young adults who are morally and spiritually accountable for the effects of their choices on other people's lives.
