For children aged 7 to 11, Essex's St Helen's Academy Junior School is available. At St. Helen's, we love and follow Jesus in a joyful, loving environment. We collaborate with the larger community and the school family. The school aims to educate children to a living and active faith, to develop intellectual skills, to promote qualities of mind, spirit and imagination, by helping children search for God, to come to know Him and enter into a personal relationship with Him. To promote independence, self-reliance, self-respect, self-confidence, and self-discipline in children, a wide range of creative activities, including music, art, craft, and theatre, should be made available. To replace the former school at Ingrave Road, Brentwood, St. Helen's Junior School was constructed in 1973. It serves the Catholic parishes at Ingatestone, Ongar, and Warley. Ten classes are located in the main building and four are in the new block, totaling fourteen. The school features a multipurpose room that is utilised for gatherings, school Masses, and lunches. The physical education activities are properly provided in the hall. Both boys' and girls' changing areas are available. The Head's room, secretaries' rooms, staff rooms, and a medical room make up the administrative area. There is a 32-student ICT suite that is fully equipped, as well as additional laptops for use in the classroom. The Junior School and some other nearby schools make use of the school's heated, covered swimming pool all year round. The structure is near the school's athletic fields. The school is situated in a pleasant rural area within 10-15 minutes walking distance from Brentwood Town centre. St. Helen's Junior School Academy is first and foremost a place of learning. Great emphasis is placed upon creating a caring and happy environment.
