Learning should, in our opinion at St. George's Junior School, be enjoyable, purposeful, and challenging.
We hope to provide each child with the tools they need to be lifelong learners through the use of an excellent curriculum.
Our school fosters a culture of kindness and positivity, and we expect students to accept "The St. George's Way" as their personal philosophy.
To help kids develop the self-control, critical thinking, and communication skills they need to take charge of their own education and develop into lifelong learners.
Encourage ecological and environmental awareness among students and the larger community.
Every student should love going to school, is our goal.
Bullying is when someone repeatedly treats you badly (several times, over and over again).
If someone is being nasty to you, it's crucial to tell an adult right away so they can take appropriate action, make sure it doesn't happen again, and prevent bullying.
Speaking with an adult is the best method to ensure that an incident doesn't occur again, therefore you shouldn't be concerned about doing so.
Use the concern box in your class if you are hesitant to approach an adult.
Everyone is unique, and being so ought to be embraced rather than exploited as an excuse to be cruel.
Bullying is when someone is treated unfairly over and over again and it makes them feel uneasy, anxious, or alone.
The basic British principles of democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty, and respect for people of all religions and beliefs must be promoted in all schools, according to the DfE, which has lately reaffirmed the need for doing so.
The government defined British values in the Prevent Strategy of 2011, and the Prime Minister has reaffirmed these values this year.
All schools must take into account the statutory guidelines as of July 1, 2015.
The guidance especially addresses schools and childcare facilities in paragraphs 57–76.
Section 26 of the Counter- Terrorism and Security Act of 2015 requires registered early childhood care providers and registered later childhood care providers (collectively referred to as "childcare providers" in this advice) to "have due regard to the need to Prevent duty" when performing their duties.
The Prevent duty: what it means for schools and childcare providers.
Schools and childcare facilities must be able to detect children who may be at risk of radicalization and know what to do when they are, in order to fulfil their Prevent obligation.
Protecting children from the risk of radicalisation should be seen as part of schools' and childcare providers' wider safeguarding duties, and is similar in nature to protecting children from other harms (e.g. drugs, gangs, neglect, sexual exploitation), whether these come from within their family or are the product of outside influences.
All of the existing employees have completed "Prevent" training.
At St. George's Junior School, new employees go through an orientation process.
This also contains "Prevent."
St George's Junior School has a Governor who has undertaken 'Prevent' training.
As from 31st October 2015 there is a mandatory reporting duty which requires teachers in England and Wales to report 'known' cases of FGM in under 18s which they identify in the course of their professional work to the police.
At St. George's Junior School, FGM is handled seriously, and all staff members sign a statement confirming this was covered during their orientation.
