St Ebbe's is a Church of England School, originally founded by St Ebbe's Church and also linked with St Matthew's Church, the local Parish Church. The principles that guide our actions as a Church School are those that represent the institution's Christian foundation. We firmly believe that everyone in the community belongs at our school. We strive to foster respect and understanding among all of our children, regardless of their views, as well as to support the values of children from all families. St Ebbe's is a CofE [Aided] Primary School founded in the parish of St Ebbe's Church in 1873. The school relocated to a new structure in the Whitehouse Road neighbourhood of St. Matthew's Church in 1976. St. Ebbe's is a Local Authority school that was given the go-ahead to switch to a two-form entry system in 2012. The school has undergone a significant building programme in 2014–15 to prepare it for the added students and personnel. The Cherwell Partnership of schools includes St Ebbe's School. The Oxford Diocesan Board of Education supports it and it still has close ties to St. Ebbe's and St. Matthew's.
