From the Springwell Harrogate
We are a secondary alternative provision academy that offers full-time and part-time instruction as well as support to kids and teenagers who, for a variety of reasons, can't attend traditional schools.
Everything we do is centred on inclusion, and we are known for collaborating constructively and intentionally with young people and their families to help them get through difficult times.
We place a lot of importance on our motto, "A Chance to Succeed," because we have very high standards for everyone who works here, including the staff and students.
All children and young people should have access to a range of opportunities that are appropriate and thoroughly thought out.
In addition to supporting the reintegration of learners into full-time education into school, higher education, or job, we have good working ties with our mainstream schools.
We work to maximise each student's potential by delivering a comprehensive, well-balanced, and individualised education.
We modify our curriculum to fit each student's needs and provide chances for all kids to be creative, reflective, and independent in order to increase their chances of succeeding in life.
In addition to building on a student's earlier accomplishments, we continually regulate behaviour in a secure, encouraging, and engaging environment.
Staff members collaborate closely with students and their families to assist them create coping mechanisms for conflict, rage, stress, and anxiety while emphasising the value of appropriate and proper behaviour.
Additionally, North Yorkshire Local Authority hires us to provide high-quality education to kids and teens who need it since they can't go to school due to medical issues.
In order to become an Early Implementer for Initial Teacher Training (ITT) in Pupil Referral Units and Alternative Provision during 2012–2013, we actively collaborated with the DfE.
