The Sycol education programme, directed by Dr. Ioan Rees, has given Somerville Federation the chance to participate this year. Getting started on this three-year Sycol curriculum has been crucial in helping us as we work to advance our school. All our school staff and governors worked together at the start of the year to agree on our school vision, mission and core values which are firmly established in the heart of everything we do and are shared with pupils, parents and carers. Staff and governors identify and work on targeted areas of improvement cooperatively and effectively with our vision, mission, and fundamental values in mind. Some of our staff members may have caught your eye sporting vibrant green lanyards! These denote the personnel in charge of the Sycol programme at the school. Please do not hesitate to speak with one of the Sycol leads if you have any questions regarding this fascinating project.
