Being a part of Solihull College & University Centre has never been better.
To prepare our students for the future electric, hybrid, and driverless car technologies, we recently renovated our motor vehicle facilities. We are also in the midst of significantly expanding construction plant training with a top-notch construction company in Solihull.
We are also preparing an Outpost area where businesses can collaborate closely with our students studying media and visual arts and provide them with real-world briefs to work on.
In November 2016, Ofsted assigned the College an overall grade of "Good"
Due to the size and scope of our higher education offerings, as well as the outstanding ratings we received in a QAA review of our higher education supply, we have been given government authorisation to use the name "University Centre."
Prior to our merger, we were the only college in the area to receive a TEF Gold rating for our HE efforts.
Our financing body confirmed that we continue to be rated as having excellent financial health, making us resilient and robust financially for the future.
Stratford-upon-Avon College has been a partner of ours ever since our merger in February 2018.
Other accomplishments include being designated as one of 12 educational institutions in the nation to serve as an Institute of Technology, which will offer more advanced technical skills to fill the region's skills gap.
Additionally, in order to prepare for the entire roll out of all topics anticipated for 2025, we have been chosen to pilot the upcoming roll out of the digital T-Level.
With courses available from basic to degree-level, we hope to find a place for everyone at either Solihull or Stratford.
