From the Snainton Church of England Voluntary Controlled Primary School
In 1891, Snainton Church of England Primary School was inaugurated. It was first constructed to serve the settlement of Snainton, but it is now open to families from other cities and villages. Our staff is dedicated to ensuring that every child achieves the greatest results possible. We collaborate closely with families and the neighbourhood to accomplish this. At the school, a nursery debuted in 2016. In the nursery, spaces are available for kids ages 2-4, and the early years curriculum is used. After receiving money from the North Yorkshire Coast Opportunity Area, the outdoor space was renovated to include a sizable shelter that would allow students to use the outside learning environment in any weather. Staff members are kind and inviting, and our kids thrive in a caring setting. Throughout 2018–19, extensive redecorating and renovations were done to modernise the learning environments and create a dedicated room for Collective Worship each day. Our classrooms are clutter-free, serene areas. Our kids tell us that this makes for more focused learning environments and that it helps them stay on task and be less distracted. Our timetable dictates that lessons last no longer than 50 minutes in order to provide for more frequent, shorter breaks during the school day. We carefully schedule occasions when we may throw open our doors and let guests experience the life of our school. We look forward to having you at one of our events.
