We are fortunate to have access to large grounds that complement our curriculum offerings, which include Duke of Edinburgh expedition training as well as rugby, football, cricket, netball, and many other sports.
A dedicated Air Cadet building is also accessible from our grounds as a result of our collaboration with the RAF to provide ACF possibilities for the neighbourhood.
In honour of Sir Robert Pattinson's membership on the education committee, the academy was given his name (1872–1954).
The school was constructed on the grounds of Hykeham Hall, and the Right Honorable J. Chuter EDE, CH, MP officially opened it in 1953.
Jack W. Winwood BSc served as the school's first headteacher from 1953 to 1960. At the time, the institution was known as Robert Pattinson School.
As the school's second headmaster, he succeeded Jack Winwood. He served as our longest-serving headmaster for 19 years, from 1961 to 1980.
The school underwent substantial development under his direction.
From 1995 to 2008, Stuart E. Macfarlane BSc MBA FIMA served as the school's president. During this time, the school received numerous honours and specialist designations.
It was the first college to specialise in a foreign language and the first school in Lincolnshire to be designated as a Beacon School.
The John Alexander Music Suite and the new Technology Suite followed the 2002 opening of the language suite by HRH The Princess Royal in 2004 and 2005, respectively.

I am struggling to give a positive review of this school. The teachers appear to focus on punishment rather than attempting to encourage and guide students if they are failing to focus or enjoy school. Our child is close to teetering on truancy or just not attending as he simply does not enjoy school and the teachers fail to capture any enthusiasm from him. The teachers have a MO towards instant exclusion for the smallest...
School deals with bullying very well and only parents who can't follow basic expectations complain, and usually because their kids are not well behaved.
absolutely disgusting rules and the way teachers act and speak to students is not okay, they don’t do anything about bullying so don’t believe them.
I get bullied all the time but teachers do nothing. We've just got a new food company and they have even made the people who used to have free breakfast not have it anymore.
